What is Bluetooth? Bluetooth is an industrial specification for wireless communication. Bluetooth provides a way to connect and exchange information between devices such as mobile phones, laptops, PC's, priners, digital cameras and video games consoles over a secure, globally unlicensed short-range radio frequency. What is a Comzone? A Comzone is physical area that you enter to receive music, pictures, video, games etc on your mobile phone. All transmissions in a Comzone are done via Bluetooth technology. What is required of the mobile phone to be able to receive information in a Comzone? The receiving mobile phone needs to have build-in Bluetooth and the Bluetooth settings put to active and visible. How big is a Comzone? A Comzone area is very flexible. It can be set on reaching mobile phones in a range from 1 to 100 meter (3.28 to 328 feet). Even bigger zones can be built - see Multi-Zone for more information. How many simultanious transmissions can take place in a Comzone at the same time? There can be seven simultaneous transmission of information at the same time in a Comzone. What is the transmission speed from Comzone to phone? Generally transmissions are very fast. A transmission of 1 MB of information is usually done in under 40 seconds. What is a vCard? A vCard is a file format standard for personal data interchange, specifically electronic business cards. vCards are often attached to email messages, but can be exchanged in other ways, such as on the Internet or via mobile phones. They can contain name and address information, phone numbers,URLs, logos, photographs, or audio clips. What is WAP? WAP is an open international standard for applications that use wireless communication. Its principal application is to enable access to the Internet from a mobile phone or PDA. A WAP browser provides all of the basic services of a computer based web browser but is simplified to operate within the restrictions of a mobile phone. WAP is now the protocol used for the majority of the world's mobile internet sites, known as WAP sites. What is a WAP site? Mobile internet sites, or WAP sites, are websites written in, or dynamically converted to, WML (Wireless Markup Language) and accessed via the WAP browser. What is a WAP-link? A WAP-link is an application link on your phone that enables you to access WAP sites from your mobile phone or PDA. What is a ComzoBox? A Multi-zone is many Comzones linked together creating a big Comzone covering large areas like shopping malls or stadiums. What is a Mobile Coupon? A mobile coupon is discount voucher or special offer coupon you receive on your mobile phone. This coupon can either be scanned using hand scanners or in other ways validated when purchasing the item the coupon is connected to. What is a ComzoExplorer? The ComzoExplorer is our own mobile phone browser for WAP site access. The ComzoExplorer can be branded or in other ways made unique for the current campaign or event.
